Sarah Cho

My living letter is one of awakening. My ‘church’ experience began early in life—yep, I was one of those kids that was born going to church and hasn’t really stopped since. The church was my second family, and I was blessed to be surrounded by such encouraging, loving, Christian people. Early on, God called me into ministry. I knew the best way to answer that call was to attend CBC, where I would be trained in sound theological principles and practical applications for ministry leadership today.

CBC requires students to complete an internship. Mine was not only a good academic and professional experience, but also a light shed on what God has called me to! Working with inner-city youth, I was able to see what it is like for students who had a different life than I had known—from drug addiction to sexual abuse, parentless households to gang violence, these kids had been through it all. Amazingly, God was able to meet them there, to come into their life and give them joy beyond measure, to mend what was broken and give hope for a brighter future.

God used me to accomplish such great things that summer! I was humbled and challenged to return to CBC, to prepare for a future of working with inner-city youth. My living letter is still being written, but my time here at CBC will always be a central part of the plotline.

Looking forward,
Sarah
