Fines are not charged for the days the library is closed. Fines will continue to accrue until materials are returned or the maximum fine is reached. Note: Unpaid fines and/or overdue books can prevent the student from borrowing additional materials, taking finals, receiving transcripts, receiving a diploma, or registering for a new term.
Lost Books
A book will be declared lost if it is not returned within three weeks after the due date. The charge for lost books will include the following:
- The accumulated fine. (see "Fines" above)
- The replacement cost of the book.
- A processing fee of $10.00 per book.
- A $5.00 charge, if necessary, to transfer the fine to the student's account in the Business Office.
Southwest Missouri Academic Library Cooperative
CBC is a participant in the Southwest Missouri Academic Library Cooperative. Currently enrolled students may use the library facilities and materials of other participating institutions. With the use of a valid CBC ID, students may check out books from the general circulating collections. Institutions cooperating in this cooperative include:
