Academics
The classroom is central to the CBC experience. Whether you're improving your writing skills in an English class or unraveling the gospel in Paul's letters,
every class at CBC will prepare you to succeed in life and ministry. Outside of class, you'll get one-on-one attention from knowledgeable professors who genuinely care about your life.
In addition to traditional programs on its main campus in Springfield, Missouri, Central Bible College also offers:
Study Abroad Tours: Central Bible College understands that learning is more than books and papers. It also involves hands-on, experiential knowledge. In an effort to further students’ educational experiences Central Bible College encourages students to get outside the classroom. Our Faculty organize and lead Study Abroad Tours all over the world. These trips allow students to gain college credit while walking in the footsteps of Paul or digging for the ruins of an ancient city, combining the knowledge of the professor with real world experiences. Please check out these brochures for information in the trips we are currently organizing.
Degree Completion: The Degree Completion track works well for those who already have an associate’s degree (or the equivalent of 64 hours) and want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministries. Classes meet one night a week for four hours. During the class the student has the opportunity to gain knowledge from distinguished professors as well as the experienced students who sit alongside them. It is possible to complete a degree in as little as 18-24 months. To apply for courses available at the upcoming semester, call an Admissions Representative at 1-800-831-4222 ext. 1290 or apply online today at www.cbcag.edu\apply.
Online Courses: Students may earn a fully-accredited Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministries, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies, an Associate of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministries, or an Associate of Arts degree in Biblical Studies by completing courses online. With no set class time, students are able to log in to courses whenever it is convenient for them. This allows students to work on a degree as they go about their busy lives from anywhere around the world. Except for orientation, the student does not have to be on the campus. To apply for courses available at the upcoming semester, call an Admissions Representative at 1-800-831-4222 ext. 1290 or apply online today at www.cbcag.edu\apply.
CBC Michigan: Since 1962, Central Bible College has offered an Associate of Arts Degree in Bible through courses taught by qualified professors at various locations throughout southeastern Michigan. CBC Michigan is recognized by the State of Michigan, the United Auto Worker’s Union, and the Veteran’s Administration. James River Leadership College: In addition to contributing to the broader ministries at JRA, the students will select a leadership practicum. The leadership practicums are designed so that students experience the James River culture in a specific ministry offering as well as equip them with the fundamentals required to lead in that field. Each JRLC student will have 15-20 hours per week of life changing ministry experience at JRA. Fields include Pastoral Leadership, Creative Services, Kids Ministry, Live Event Production, Worship & Creative Arts, and Youth.
During their time at JRLC students will also take college level courses through our partnership with Central Bible College. Upon completion of the JRLC program, students will receive an Associate of Arts in Bible. This degree is fully accredited through our partnership with CBC by the Higher Learning Commission of North Central Association and the Association for Biblical Higher Education.
